On August 12 our colleagues went out to demand that the $1000 bonus be applied to all health sector jobs because everyone counts in the fight against the pandemic.
But the pandemic premiums do not correct our salaries, which have not even kept up with inflation for more than 15 years.
The government and the media seem to have discovered only part of the work that is being done to serve the population, but everyone plays a crucial role in this huge machine, from sterilizers to administrative officers, kitchens, trades and PAB’s.
We are demanding $3 per hour for all health job titles starting April 1, 2020 and $1 or 3% whichever is more advantageous for all job titles in 2021 and 2022.
