Posted by Third day of the Common Front strike, picketing everywhere and a gigantic demonstration downtown. Everywhere the atmosphere is supercharged, with workers singing and dancing on the sidewalks and in the streets. Determination and confidence are growing by the day.
And citizens are loudly honking their horns in support.
The public’s “guardian angels” really don’t want to be the government’s minions any more.
The members are asking WHEN, WHEN are we going to have this general strike, because members everywhere are fed up with their poor working conditions and are suffering enormously from inflation, which is driving even the lowest wage earners to resort to food banks.
We were there for the people during the pandemic, so the Prime Minister owes it to us to get our wages back on track.
Together towards a settlement that meets our needs, or it’s a general strike!
