There is no vote on this agreement which is separate from the collective agreement.
This agreement does not resolve all pay equity complaints. The government was not prepared to settle most of the clerical workers’ complaints. We have not given up on these complaints and our fight to get you what you are owed continues.
The CSN has a majority in Quebec in categories 2 (paratechnical, auxiliary and trades) and 3 (clerical, technicians and administrative professionals). Under the Pay Equity Act, the CSN is the only organization that could conclude an agreement with the government.
