– 3$ per hour for everyone in the health care sector in 2020

– 1$ per hour or 3% depending on which is the most advantageous for everyone in 2021 and 2022.
The frustration is palpable. Even the few service sector jobs that get bonuses are angry because everyone understands that the premiums are temporary and they don’t solve the issue of our salaries.
In the service sector we are the low-wage earners and only 20% of employees are eligible for the $1000 bonus. In the largely female administrative sector, no one receives the $1000 bonus.
Frustration, anger and disillusionment are hitting our health care services.
For more than 15 years our salaries have not even kept up with inflation. Enough is enough!
Our CHUM colleagues were with us, and their jerseys are there to remind us that we feel scorned, us the low wages earners of the health care sector.
